USPTO Silicon Valley Start-up Conference

I will be speaking on a panel at the USPTO Silicon Valley Start-up Conference in San Jose on the 16th of October:

I hope to see you there.

(Addendum 10/17/15:  The panel talk went great.  Interestingly, I got a chance to comment on the topic of creativity and how to improve it in oneself.  If you were there, I hope you enjoyed it and will continue to visit my blog here.)

Addendum 11/10/15:  I received the following letter today:

November 10, 2015
Candice Elliott, Nouvoyance Inc.
Dear Candice,
On behalf of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), I extend my sincere thanks for collaborating, once again, with our office, this time participating in the Silicon Valley Startup Seminar held October 16, 2015, at the USPTO regional office in San Jose, California. Your involvement during the fireside chat was instrumental in making the seminar a success. You and Stephen Key provided the audience with an enlightening and inspiring discussion. I have no doubt this information will be useful to many of the attendees as they pursue their business aspirations.
For over 200 years the USPTO has helped Americans protect their intellectual property by issuing patents and registering trademarks and thus maintaining the engine of innovation. Small businesses and entrepreneurship are cornerstones of the U.S. economy, and offering IP education and resources to both established and aspiring inventors and business owners is a primary goal of our agency. Facilitating such important opportunities is precisely our objective for these conferences, and you contributed significantly to the positive experience of the attendees.
Thank you again for your involvement with the Silicon Valley Startup Seminar.
Anthony Knight Associate Commissioner for Innovation Development (Acting) Office of Innovation Development United States Patent and Trademark Office
